Audrey and the Shockwave girls finished their T-Ball season. Audrey did great and had a great time! She ended up playing 1st base and got lots and lots and lots of hits...

I'm Baaaaaack!!!

OK, I obviously haven't posted in a while. Our computer died and we've been busy transferring our pictures over to our new computer. (and I got lazy after that)

We finall gave up on PC and entered the world of Apple. WOW!!! It is AWESOME and totally worth what seems to be the higher cost. I say "seems to be" because if you bought enough software to make the PC do what the Apple just does out of the box, the PC would cost WAY MORE than the Mac (and still wouldn"t work as well - the Mac commercials are right!!).

We also got a bonus since we bought it during the back to school season. As part of a promotion Apple was running, we got a free iPod touch (looks like an iPhone, but works on WiFi) It is amazing. I’ve discovered the world of iTunes and Podcasts. I've subscribed to my pastor's and John Piper's weekly sermons and daily episodes of Allistair Begg's and R. C. Sproul's radio shows.

Anyway, enough of the Mac commercial, here's a photo...

On The Plane...

(So far so good)

Actually, the plane ride went remarkably (and surprisingly) well. Our strategy was food - lots of snacks - keep 'em coming. Also, everyone had a backpack with a SMALL amount of things to keep them occupied (quiet). The girls had little toy horses a coloring book and an activity book and the boys had little toy trucks a coloring book and an activity book. Everyone got a new box of crayons.

Witnessing to Westboro Baptist

I came across this post today by Josh Bruce. (Disclaimer - I have no idea who Josh Bruce is or what he believes, so please don't hold it against me if it somehow turns out that he preaches some false gospel or claims to be something he isn't) In the post, he describes a recent experience of witnessing to the people of Westboro Baptist Church (i.e. the "God Hates Fags" people).

I have imagined doing exactly what Josh did every time I have watched a news story or read an article about the Westboro "baptists". I pray that, if I ever do have the opportunity, I will have the same courage and that I will share the same message in the same way.
